Shibden Miniature Railway

The Shibden Miniature Railway first opened in 1983 and is situated in the picnic area at the bottom of Shibden Country Park, which also boasts Shibden Hall museum, large boating lake and 8 hole golf course.

The Miniature railway runs around the lower part of the park, starting at the station by the bottom car park. The trains run through the picnic area and the twisted trees round the bottom bend and then start the steep claim up through the cutting over the crossing on to the first of the two bridges that span the Red Beck, on crossing the second bridge the train swings round through a tunnel and back into the station

Locomotives currently in use are Jake Thomas an 0-6-0 steam outline diesel hydraulic built in 2012 and Emily Grey a diesel electric built in 2014.
