Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway

The Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway first opened as an attraction in 1996. The miniature trains run around a quarter mile circuit. Your journey trundles over the long bridge, playground to the left, duck pond to the right meandering through trees and shrubs and into the back straight, Onward over the level crossing, into a short bend then slowly entering Grosvenor Park station.
The park is well known for wildlife especially the abundance of grey squirrels seen dancing playfully in and out of the trees. They regularly race the trains darting fearlessly back and forth across the track,
The newly refurbished (2020) ticket office boasts a well stocked gift shop with Thomas and Friends, Teamsterz and Bigjigs (wooden) toys and more,
Toilet facilities are available at the pavilion building central in the park.
Railway opening times: Weekends, school and public holidays February to September 10 – 5 (last train 4.50). Also open Wed/Fri May to September 11 – 4 (last train 3.50) October to February 11 (last train 3.50).
