Bekonscot Model Village and Railway is the world’s oldest and original model village, opening for the first time in 1929. With over 80 years of history, huge model railway, 1.5 acres of well kept gardens and finely detailed model buildings Bekonscot is a great day out for everyone.
Bekonscot re-opens on Monday, 6 July 2020. Tickets need to be bought in advance online at www.bekonscot.co.uk.
The Tea Room will be open for hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks only. The shop is partially open with limited items on sale.
The 7¼ inch narrow gauge railway, Education Centre, kiddie rides, pirate water feature, remote controlled boats and play area will not be in use and will be cordoned off until further notice.
Due to limited space we regret we are unable to allow picnics at this time.
Stuck in a 1930s time warp, see England how it used to be, and discover a wonderful little world tucked away from the hustle and bustle of eveyday life.
Come and take a trip on the Bekonscot Light Railway! Our narrow gauge ride-on (7.25” gauge) miniature railway weaves its way behind the model village, criss-crossing some gardens, encircles a pond and returns to the terminus.
The light railway runs every day during our open season, from 10:30am until 4:30pm, departing “on demand” every few minutes.
